Plano Airliner Case is a winner for U.S. Coast Guard Aux Honor Guard
As the commanding officer of a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Honor Guard I have found no product that exceeds our needs. No we do not use the case for fishing rods! Our $500.00 Parade Flags fit into the case and are protected. They get tossed onto trucks, into airplanes etc... We keep 2 - 4 flags in each case. So that is $2000.00 worth of gear. I am really pleased with the product. So if you have a pole or a set of expensive parade flags? This is the Hard Case for you. It even has wheels! I can't say enough good things about our experiance with Plano's case.

Great product
I brought 4 9.5 ft surf casters to florida. after the trip the outside of the case was a little dinged up but the rods were all fine!

Durable and Rollable
I bought this tube for a Mexico Surf Fishing trip for Roosterfish. I went with some friends who had other rod tubes that proved inferior.

First the other tubes were not strong enough with one of the tubes actually getting a wicked bending as it came out of the baggage handling equipment and another fisherman's tube had a rod sticking out of it when we landed.

Second, their tubes did not have wheels and as we made our way through the airport the wheels on this tube were priceless. Priceless!

Door flap on PRO model broke on first airline trip
Flambeau Outdoors Bazuka Pro Rod Case
I fly to Mexico at least once a year. I have had many trips with decent results using Flambeau rod cases. However after a recent trip my case got damaged by the airline, and I decided to spend the extra cash for the larger PRO model. The door flap broke on first trip and the rods got damaged as the door opened and rods slid out. Also broken was the steel locking fastener? I am now thinking of going with the Plano cases?

A Rod Pod!

The Flambeau Outdoors Bazuka Pro Road Case is just what I wanted to safely transport my fishing rods in the bed of my truck. The case is very sturdy with a hinged door for easy access to load and unload my two rods with their reels attached. Might even accomodate a third one. Of course, it will hold more rods without the reels. The Bazuka Rod Case is heavy, although, not unmanageable thanks to its handle. It's great for transport in my truck but I find its length too cumbersome to carry along with everything else to my fishing site and too big for taking on a 16' fishing boat with others on board. Especially since it would come down to making a choice between the cooler or the rod case. That's a no brainer. The cooler wins everytime! ~ The Boss

Great rod case!!!
We used this on a trip down to Baja and it worked out great! I was able to load 10 rods in this thing. The longest being 8'6 (this is probably the longest I'd try to stretch it). We used ratchet compression straps to strap it to the top of a Rav4 and it worked perfectly. Granted, the compression straps cause the case to have little 'indents' where the pressure was... I was scared these would be permanent indentations but after a few hours it was back to normal again. And this was driving through 85+ degree weather in Baja! So the case appears to be pretty durable. I'm glad I picked it up. I plan to store a majority of my rods in it during the off season in my garage. It'll help save on space as well :) Great product! Note: if you're strapping this down, watch out for the handles. I would highly recommend securing this thing by the main body and not by the handles - we noticed they were starting to warp due to pressure... they have the potential to bust. Also, there's a little hole to secure the latch door with a lock. If you're strapping this down to the roof of a car or checking it in on a plane, I'd advise getting a small lock so that the latch won't easily open. If for an airplane, make sure it's a TSA approved lock.

Great for crafts
I bought this for my beading projects. I outgrew the previous tool box I used and thought a tackle box would be great! The individual drawers are enclosed so I don't have to worry about the beads spilling out. The top section is big and allows me to keep my beading tools and other bigger items. I am happy with this product - the price and quality have lived up to my expectations!

Great storage box
Great product. Plenty of storage for hobby needs. Movable inserts allow for different configuration of the storage boxes for your particular needs.

Tool/Tackle box...
The Plano 3650 Tackle box has lower drawer problems, the latches sometimes come off, but they do go back on easily. Great product other than the latches coming off and has a marvelous price.

Does the job !
I bought this in order to transport my 11 foot sunami surf rods to florida from N.Y. I wasn't sure if my rods were going to survive the plane trip. When I got to florida I opened the case right there in the airport. I was relieved to see my rods were fine. The case protected the rods and no damage to the case. The locks that come with the case worked very well also. Thumbs up !

Works for swords too!
I bought this on the recommendation of a fellow swordsman. I needed a hard case to take my katana on the airplane without paying excess baggage charges. This case is going to be perfect.
I added some extra thick/firm foam in the top and bottom of the case, and will insulate the katana with another two cut out circles of foam in the middle. The sword will be completely immobile within the case, and it's lockable with one TSA cable lock, or two TSA padlocks.
